Songrates

Songrates is a music discovery app built around one loop: find a song or album, then rate it. It turns casual listening into a shared catalog of opinions, playlists, and fully rated releases. What I built: Home feeds for trending tracks, country Top 100 playlists, and community-rated albums; album pages with track-by-track scoring; reviews; playlists; artist follows; and public profiles with a leveling system unlocked by fully rated albums. Guests can rate; signed-in users keep progress and unlock profile perks. Tech stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Supabase (auth + database), Apple Music API, TanStack Query, and React Three Fiber for upcoming 3D vinyl experiences.
